Eligibility:

Age: 20–25 years (as on 1 Aug 2026)
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Gender: Male & Female eligible
Nationality: Indian (Nepal/Bhutan allowed as per rules)

Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST – 5 years

  • OBC – 3 years

  • Govt servants/Ex-servicemen – as per rules


Application Fee:

  • ₹200 – General/OBC/EWS

  • Free – Female, SC, ST


Selection Process:

  1. Written Exam

  2. Physical Standards Test (PST)

  3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

  4. Interview/Personality Test (150 marks)

  5. Medical Test

  6. Final Merit

Paper-I: General Ability & Intelligence:

Marks: 250 | Type: Objective (MCQ) | Medium: English & Hindi

Syllabus:

  • Logical reasoning

  • Quantitative aptitude

  • Data interpretation

  • General Science

  • Current events (national & international)

  • Indian Polity & Economy

  • History of India

  • Indian & World Geography

Negative marking: Yes (1/3 deduction)


Paper-II: General Studies, Essay & Comprehension:

Marks: 200 | Type: Descriptive

Part-A: Essay (80 marks):

Essay in English or Hindi on topics like:

  • Modern Indian history

  • Geography

  • Polity & economy

  • Security & human rights

  • Analytical topics

Part-B: English (120 marks):

(English only)

  • Comprehension passages

  • Precis writing

  • Counter arguments

  • Grammar

  • Language skills


 Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

For Men:

  • 100 m – 16 sec

  • 800 m – 3 min 45 sec

  • Long jump – 3.5 m

  • Shot put – 4.5 m

For Women:

  • 100 m – 18 sec

  • 800 m – 4 min 45 sec

  • Long jump – 3.0 m
